Terms of service

Under review by counsel

This wording is a draft and is not yet in effect. Everything below that describes what the product does was written from the product itself and is accurate today. Every contractual question — the parts marked still being decided — is left open rather than guessed at, and this page will change when counsel's wording replaces it.

Effective date: not yet in effect — draft under review.

1. Who you are agreeing with

Section 5 Media LLC (“we”, “us”), operator of My Memories, My Stadiums, My Travel, My Concerts and My Athlete.

2. Acceptance

3. Your account

You need an account to record anything. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity under your account. One person, one account.

4. What you record is yours

You own what you put in. Your photographs, your writing, your records of where you have been. We claim no ownership of any of it.

You grant us the licence we need to operate the product on your behalf: to store your content, to display it back to you, to generate the reduced display copies the app renders, and to include it in an export when you ask for one. That licence exists to run the service and ends when you delete the content or your account.

We do not use your content to train models. The story-drafting feature sends your records to a model provider when you ask it to draft something, and that is the only time your content leaves for that purpose.

5. Contributions that become shared

The product keeps shared catalogs of stadiums and concert venues so that a place one person records is available to the next. If you add a venue, suggest a stadium correction, or submit a stadium photograph, that contribution becomes shared data available to other users. Your private records do not.

6. Share links

You can create links that make specific content visible to anyone holding the link. You decide what to share and you can revoke a link. Anything you share is outside our control for as long as the link is live.

7. Acceptable use

You will not: upload content you do not have the right to upload; upload content depicting another person without their consent, or a child without the consent of their parent or guardian; use the product to harass anyone; attempt to reach another user's records; or use automated means to extract data from the product. Where use of Google Maps features breaches Google's own terms in section 9, we will take appropriate action, which can include suspending or ending that use.

8. Story drafting is a draft

The story feature produces a draft from records you entered. It can be wrong. It is offered as a starting point for your own words, it is never published anywhere on your behalf, and nothing it writes is saved unless you save it. Usage is limited to 20 drafts a day and 100 a month per account.

9. Google Maps — required notices

This application includes Google Maps features and content. Your use of Google Maps features and content is subject to the then-current versions of the Google Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.

10. Third-party services

The product depends on Supabase (hosting, database, authentication, file storage), Google Maps Platform (place data), Anthropic (story drafting) and Vercel (application hosting). Their availability is not ours to guarantee.

11. Availability

The product is in beta. Features change, and some are still being built.

12. Termination

13. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

14. Governing law and disputes

15. Changes to these terms
